Breakfast Bonanza Meeting
Speaker Mathew Giachetti of LifeForce USA
Will discuss: how to act in violent situations in the workplace
Unfortunately in the climate that we are in today, being prepared for emergencies has taken on a new meaning from a decade or two ago. OSHA does not have a specific standard for workplace violence, however under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, the extent of an employer's obligation to address is governed by the General Duty Clause, which is often interpreted to include protection from workplace violence.
LifeForce USA will cover the steps to take if violence comes to the workplace, including the 3 covenants of OSHA and Homeland Security, Run, Hide, Fight, as well as how to provide first aid for severe bleeding. Active Shooter and other situations will be discussed.
