How did you come to be in this line of work? Since I was young, I have always had in interest in being a doctor. As a runner, I have seen many foot and ankle injuries over the years as well as having a few of my own. I wanted a way to help my fellow runners recover from their injuries, so podiatry seemed to be the perfect fit.
What makes you different from others in this field? The field of podiatry can sometimes be considered an “old school” practice. However, Caruso Foot & Ankle uses the latest technologies and clear communication to provide our patients with personalized care. We encourage a positive patient-physician rapport in an effort to improve and maintain foot health.

How did you come to be in this line of work?
After many years working as a Corporate Vice President at the Home Office of a Fortune 100 Company in NYC, I decided I wanted to pursue entrepreneurship. After an analysis of several franchises, I decided to go with British Swim School and really start something completely new and rewarding for me.
What makes you different from others in this field?
British Swim School is America’s Premier Swim Program, offering lessons throughout the United States. The focus of the program is Water Safety and Survival first, and then progressing into Swim Stroke Development. We are a Year-Round Program. Classes are not session based, students’ progress through levels at their own pace. Each level has five specific goals that need to be mastered before a student progresses to the next level.
Who would use your services or product?
People of all ages and abilities who want the opportunity to become safe, happy and successful swimmers in the water. We start water acclimation and survival lessons for children as young as 3 months old, as well as provide lessons for adults of all ages and abilities based on their current abilities and future goals.
What do you regard as your greatest achievement in business to date?
As this is my first business venture on my own to date, my greatest achievement is launching my first British Swim School franchise location at the Howell LA Fitness.
What do you hope to get out of your chamber membership?
Creating contacts and friendships with other members of the Howell business community, as well as making myself available to the entire community of Howell Township and the surrounding area.
What committees would you be interested in participating in?
Once I become active and acclimated within the chamber I will have a better idea regarding committee participation.
Tell us something others may find of interest about you.
I worked at the same company in NYC for 27 years, most of which were spent living in New Jersey and commuting via train from Hamilton NJ.
What is your favorite activity or hobby?
My wife and I are recent empty nesters but for years it was being active with my kids and their pursuits. My daughter is an accomplished swimmer and currently swims for the University of Rhode Island. My son played ice hockey from Pee Wee through high school while focusing on music both in the marching and jazz bands. He is currently studying music and film at the University of North Carolina in Wilmington.
What is your life motto(s)?
Treat everyone equally, with the kindness, empathy and respect we all expect and deserve.
